Manly War Memorial Excursion

Today Year 2's visited the Manly War Memorial in Richard Russell Park. Miss Frizzel from Magic Walking Bus tours took us on a tour of this very important site in Manly. We learnt that this is a special place to remember all the men and women who have served our country in times of war and peace.

    hi 2s and Mrs Bednall,
    we got to look around the place and it was really fun and interesting. we went on the 20th of May. we had a booklet that we brought with us to answer questions.

    All of Year 2 went on a excursion to Richard Russell Park.They got 5 or ten minutes to have a look around.They read things about the war memorial and they learnt that two men smashed the other one.The year 2s thought it was a fun day.

    Wow 2s i love memorial park i like to go there with my Nana because she tells me all about the people that served our country.
    i loved memorial park i thought it was awesome i want to go back there to learn more about the solders

    That is my fave statue I love driving past it whenever I go to the shops or to school.

    I go past that Statue a few times too I really like it.
