Jump Rope for Heart Skipping

Today everyone at SJV skipped together to help raise money for Jump Rope for Heart. Jump Rope for Heart is designed to increase children’s fitness and health, while raising money for the fight against heart disease. It was a great way to start the day. Check out how well we all skipped.

Music Incursion

We heard the loudest music incursion this week at SJV! It was all about drumming and percussion instruments and the sounds these instruments could make when played in different ways. All students in Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 played an instrument to perform one very loud musical piece at the end.

Manly War Memorial Excursion

This week Year 2 classes walked to the Manly War Memorial in Richard Russell Park. The park is a beautiful place to remember all the men and women who have served in times of war.

Subtraction Word Problems

2S have been working hard this week in Maths Groups learning different strategies they can use with Subtraction Word Problems. We can count on, count back, draw the problem and write number sentences in different ways to help us work out the answer.

Happy Mothers Day

This week in 2S we have been busy getting ready to celebrate Mothers Day. We have made some beautiful cards and a special gift for our Mums. We all love our Mums!
