ANZAC Day

This week in Year 2 we have been learning about ANZAC Day which is on Saturday April 25th. ANZAC Day is a special day when we remember all of the men and women who have served their country in times of war. We read this great book about ANZAC Day which told the story of Jack and his grandfather and the time when they went to an ANZAC Day parade together.

Cross Country

Yesterday SJV participated in our school cross country at Memorial Park. Year 2's ran 500m around the park and it was a great race! Well done all runners.

Dance Cart Concert

Today SJV put on a fabulous concert for students, staff and families. The concert performed dances that students had been learning in Dance Cart lessons. 2S were great when they danced 'Putting on the Ritz'.

Glue Investigation

Today in Science we made a glue mixture by combining flour, water and salt. We used this mixture to stick fabric, foil and a plastic lid to paper.

Fish and Chip Friday

Fish and Chip Friday during Lent helps us to remember that Jesus died on the cross for us. We also know that Jesus cooked fish for his friends and fish was an important symbol during this time. Our fish and chips were yummy!
