Raw Art

Today 2S had Leona from Raw Art visit our classroom and teach us how to make a Japanese Printed Lantern. They are so beautiful hanging in our classroom.

Moreton Bay Explore

Today the Year 2 classes explored the mud flats of Moreton Bay with help from Mr MacPherson. We learnt how to find Hermit Crabs and to look out for Stingray holes. Mr MacPherson also had a special animal to show us - a huge Mud Crab!

Andrew Chinn Concert

This week at SJV we welcomed Andrew Chinn to our school. Andrew performed a concert with the whole school and also worked with classes using song as a way to tell Christian stories.

Athletics Carnival

On Monday Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 had their Athletics Carnival here at SJV. We ran fast in the sprint races, played ballgames, threw a turbo javelin and ran a relay using bean bags. It was so much fun!

Building a toy

Today 2S designed, built and investigated a toy. The way the toy was built depended on which force - push or pull - was used to move the toy. We made some amazing toys from boxes, lids and sticky tape.
