Reports...

This week, we are finishing off our reports! We have worked through the drafting and information gathering stages and are now ready to publish!
We have learnt much about out bugs and enjoyed the looking for pictures in Google.
Some interesting facts that we discovered are:

  • grasshoppers hear with their knees
  • caterpillars eat their egg shells
  • moths use antennae to smell
  • the loudest insect is the male Cicada
  • fleas jump 200 times the length of their own body

Have you got any interesting insect facts you would like to share with us?

Hi 2BP,
I didn't know grasshoppers listened with their knees. Imagine listening to an ipod with your knees! And fleas jump 200 times their own height, that would be cool if people could do that.

HI 2BP,

Do you know male red back spiders do not spin webs. I am doing a report on redbacks. I liked all your information.
