Fractions, Sorry Day and Graffitti

It has been a very busy week in 2V. We have been learning about Fractions in Maths including halves, quarters and eighths. We made Fairy Bread which we then cut into two equal parts and then into four equal parts or quarters. Of course the best part was eating our bread!

On Thursday it was National Sorry Day and 2V presented their Prayer Assembly to the whole school. We prayed to God to help us to be kind to all people and we sang a song about being one nation.

Today we used a big piece of paper as a graffitti wall to publish all of our learnings from our Moreton Bay Unit. We could use words or drawings to present what we had learnt. We are now getting ready to write a Persuasion about why we should protect Moreton Bay.

Yes it has been a very busy week for all of us. My favourite activity was the graffitti wall and seeing all the kids enjoy themselves remembering all the thing they have learnt about Moreton Bay. I cannot wait to read their persuasions about saving the Bay.
