Today in Science we made a simple
spinning toy out of cardboard and a pencil to investigate push and pull forces. Our toy looked like a Mammandur which is a spinning top made by the Guugu Yimmidhirr people of Cape Bedford in Queensland. Their spinning toy was made of beeswax and wood and they would have competitions to see how long their tops could spin.
